Stauseen Kaprun – 25 km

Not only will you experience the imposing mountains of the Hohe Tauern up close when you visit the Hochgebirgsstauseen Kaprun reservoirs, you will also learn some interesting facts about water and how it is converted into “clean” electricity. A tour of the reservoir, a visit inside the Moosersperre barrier and a herbal nature trail are worth a visit in any case.
Wildpark Ferleiten – 19 km

The Wildpark Ferleiten located at the toll station of the Großglockner High Alpine Road is an ideal destination for all nature lovers who want to observe wild animals in their natural environment. During the excursion, you should also use the opportunity to take a trip through the Hohe Tauern National Park on the most famous alpine route.
Gamsstadt Kitzbühel – 53 km

The Pass Thurn Straße road will take you to the famous Gamsstadt (“chamois town”) of Kitzbühel. The town of Kitzbühel itself inspires visitors and not only on the occasion of the spectacular Hahnenkamm downhill race. The picturesque old town with its numerous cafés and luxury shops is a popular haunt, and you’re bound to see a few celebrities wandering around too!
Sommerrodelbahn dry toboggan run, Biberg – 12 km

61 bends snake over 1.6 km through the valley and provide the ultimate fun experience for the whole family! The Sommerrodelbahn Biberg in Saalfelden is therefore the right place for thrill-seekers and those who love feeling the fresh mountain breeze on their face as they whizz along. You’ll also be spoiled for choice with the food and delicacies on offer in the rustic inns and snack huts!
Mittersill castle – 28 km

The site of the castle is fascinating, and a wonderful place for dreaming in enchanted secret places. A 15th century watchtower, a witch cellar and an idyllic castle garden guarantee a memorable visit. Are you planning to get married in Austria? Why not “pledge your vows” in the fairy tale surroundings of the castle chapel!
Krimmler Waterfalls – 55 km

Imposing, unique and impressive; the Krimml Waterfalls have this effect on visitors, because with a drop of 380 metres, these are the largest waterfalls in Europe. Be sure to plan a visit to this awe-inspiring natural spectacle in the centre of the Hohe Tauern National Park!
Kitzlochklamm – 19 km

The Kitzlochklamm gorge is located in the nearby town of Taxenbach at the entrance to the beautiful Raurisertal valley. Its rugged rock walls are stunning, and you can reach the hermitage via a spectacular bridge. Guided tours through the gorge provide an insight in to its origins, and is a perfect bad-weather excursion for the whole family.
